Welcome to the website of
the Heritage United Methodist Church. The Heritage
congregation, established as Minter’s Chapel in the
early 1850’s, is the oldest Methodist-roots congregation in Tarrant
County, and has a rich tradition of worship and service in the Grapevine
area.
As you will see as you look
through the website, or will see even more clearly with a personal
visit, we are an active and vital congregation that makes a difference
in the lives of many, both near to us and far away. Together with all
United Methodists, and with Christians everywhere, we seek, by all
the means available to us, to let the light and love of Jesus Christ
shine in us, and through us to others. Through prayer, worship, study,
fellowship, horsing around and having fun (oops—I wasn’t
supposed to let that out of the bag!), our lives are energized to live
the life of the spirit.
Persons have been known, on
occasion, to wear coats and ties to Heritage UMC! Far more frequently
seen, however, are acts of kindness, compassion, justice, and mercy
as the congregation reaches out to its local and wider community. May
you know the grace and peace of Christ this day, and increase our joy
by sharing it with us!
